House is a good example of transformation of a 60’s house in a contemporary way.145m2 apartment had 3 rooms, a living room and 2 baths. After a precise construction period, now it has 3 rooms, a big bed room with a master bathroom and lockers inside, a common bathroom, a powder room and a big living zone with open kitchen.
‘There was a 8m2, a very small kitchen and an old toilet area when you entered the house before. There was only one big enough bathroom which had 2 doors and a lot of unused space. After we got all the dimensions with my team, we had brain storming to create a much productive living zone. Considering the main structure we designed the house with an open kitchen living room and the house now makes you feel twice big than before. My clients lived abroad still keeping the bonds to Turkish culture, and great interest to the history and art. That motivated me a lot to choose and apply Turkish rich colors and materials such as blue tiles and other patterns. Their love to Turkish art has motivated me to design an art object, including an Evil Eye, using old İstanbul colorful glasses in the enterance of the house’
